NEWFANE — A 23-year-old man told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies Monday night that while he was sitting in his car on South Main Street, another man walked up to his car and punched him through the window several times.
The complainant told patrol that he knows the man who assaulted him is known to carry a handgun so he fled the area and then called police.
The complainant said he wants to press charges against the man and NCSO has requested a warrant for the assailant for second-degree harassment.
