ENP STAFF REPORTS
news@eastniagarapost.com
A Hosmer Road woman dropping off kids clothes to a friend got a most unwelcome greeting Tuesday.
The woman told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies that as she exited her vehicle at 7663 Gow Road, she observed her friend's dog on the leash in the yard. However, the dog broke off the leash and attacked the woman, biting her in the buttocks. The bite ripped the woman's pants and also broke her skin.
The complainant stated she contacted her doctor and is going to get the laceration evaluated. She told patrol this is the second time the dog has bit her and broke her skin, but she did not report the first incident.
Patrol went to 7663 Gow Road and interviewed the owner of the dog, Sheila A Harris, who did not witness the dog attack but was made aware of it.
The dog is a four-year-old Husky, approximately 80 pounds, white in color with brown patches.
Patrol attempted to contact the dog warden, but had negative results.
Moeller was advised to have the dog secured on the leash at all times. Patrol completed a dog bite report and will forwarded it to the Department of Health.
