Brandon Campbell
TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A O'Brien Drive father and son were both charged Saturday afternoon by Niagara County Sheriff's deputies in relation to a shoplifting incident at Walmart on South Transit Road.

According to a report filed by the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, Brandon R. Campbell, 28, 121 O'Brien Dr., was seen opening the bottom of an iPhone 5 case in the Walmart electronics department while Geoff A. Campbell, 57, also of 121 O'Brien Dr., was watching.

"It appeared Geoff was trying to block anyone from seeing what Brandon was doing," the report said. Brandon then put the iPhone case, valued at $39.88, in his pocket and left the store.

Geoff Campell
Sheriff's deputies responded to the Campbells' home. Geoff answered the door and was detained. He was charged with sixth-degree conspiracy. A short while later, Brandon came out side and patrol detained him as well, charging him with petit larceny. Both were taken to Niagara County Jail.

As patrol was getting them out of the patrol car, both men were asked if they had anything on them that they shouldn't because the jail was going to do a very thorough search. Brandon told patrol that he just remembered that he had a small bag of Xanax in between the sole of his slipper and the bottom of the slipper. Patrol found a total of 11 Xanax in the bag and gave Brandon Campbell an additional charge of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance

Brandon was held by $500 bail and Geoff was held by $250 bail. Both will appear at the Town of Lockport Court on Tuesday. The pills were turned into the evidence locker.
