TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A 24-year-old Buffalo woman was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana Friday morning following a one-car crash on the Lockport Bypass.
Mahbuba B. Nazmul, 24, 166 14th St., Buffalo, was found with a 2006 black Ford 500 off the side of the road at around 10:30 a.m. She was uninjured but requested a tow to get back onto the roadway.
While speaking with Nazmul roadside, patrol noticed a strong smell of marijuana, according to the arrest report. When asked if there was any marijuana in the vehicle or on her person, she said that there was not — however patrol discovered a bag of marijuana in her purse along with a glass marijuana smoking device.
She was placed into custody, and issued an appearance ticket for the Town of Lockport Court on July 17th. She was released, and drove the suspect vehicle from the scene.
