ENP STAFF REPORTS
news@eastniagarapost.com
A Newfane business owner told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies this morning that an unknown person or people damaged a piece of heavy machinery in early- to mid-April.
The complainant told patrol that his company's Komatsu PC-50 excavator was in storage when someone broke the rear window with an unknown object between April 11 and April 14.
The man told patrol that he did not report the incident originally because he did not want to file an insurance claim, but once the estimate of $2,200.00 came in, he knew he needed to. He said he was unsure who would be responsible for the damage, but believed that kids may have played a role in damaging the window.
Investigation closed pending new information.
