NEWFANE — The Newfane Historical Society's annual Apple Blossom Festival — with all the fixin's — is Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the corner of West Creek and Ide roads.
The annual event features a flea market and craft vendors, live performances, historical demonstrations, re-enactments, food, food and food — including apple butter, baked goods, beef on weck, hamburgers, hot dogs, sausages, salt potatoes, popcorn, apple cakes, pies, and of course Art Gladow's famous chicken chowder.
Exhibits on display during the festival include the general store, Hrvol House Museum, a one-room schoolhouse, blacksmith shop and their permanent Civil War encampment.
Volunteers and vendors are still being accepted. For more information, visit the Apple Blossom Festival page on the Newfane Historical Society website.
As always, parking and admission are free.
