HARTLAND — A Ridge Road man told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies that a suspicious person had been standing on his property around noon on Wednesday.
The complainant told patrol that he had noticed the male standing near the trees in between the residences on Ridge Road. At one point, the complainant said, he noticed that the male was using a tree to hide behind so that he would not see him. When the complainant attempted to get closer to the male, he ran across the street to the north side of Ridge Road.
The complainant said that the male looked just like someone he knew and told patrol that on Tuesday that person had knocked on his door along with a young girl, asking for $20 that he was owed for shoveling the driveway over the winter. The complainant said the man had done the same earlier in the year, getting money from his father.
The description of the male was 5-foot, 11-inches, 150 pounds with short brown hair and a broken front tooth.
Patrol advised the complainant that if he observes any suspicious male in the area again to contact the Sheriff's Office.
