TOWN OF LOCKPORT — Apparently someone had travel plans and thought a Dysinger Road woman should pay for them.
The woman told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies that she woke up Friday morning to a text message from her bank telling her she had just $6 in her account — about $500 short of what it should have been.
The woman contacted her bank, who told her that on Thursday, a withdrawal of $506 was charged to Virgin Airlines and a $460 charge was pending to Hotels.com. At the complainant's request, those fraudulent charges were canceled and a hold was placed on the woman's account.
NCSO forwarded the complaint to the Criminal Investigations Bureau for further investigation.
