TOWN OF LOCKPORT — DeSales Catholic School's annual Race for Fitness kicks off this morning at the school on Chestnut Ridge Road.
The Race for Fitness offers a 5K run and a one-mile walk, as well as a kids dash.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. with the kids dash at 9 a.m., the one-mile walk at 9:30 a.m. and the 5K race starting at 10 a.m. Day-of registration is $25 for the 5K — $10 for those age 14 and under. The walk registration is $10 — $5 for those 14 and under. And the kids dash is free of charge.
The first 250 people to register for the 5K will receive a free t-shirt. Other's may be available for purchase at the event.
Registration forms will be available at the event, or print one out and bring it with you.
The 2014 DeSales Race for Fitness is held in memory of Tim Chesko.
All proceeds will go to the DeSales Home School Association.
