Hours after a window was reported broken at Mount View, Niagara County Sheriff's deputies were called back due to a vehicle fire on the campus.

Shortly before 8 a.m., patrol found a vehicle parked on the north side of the parking lot with the engine compartment fully engulfed in flames. South Lockport Fire Company responded and extinguished the fire.

Patrol interviewed the vehicle's owner, who states she parked her vehicle and entered the building for work. She told deputies that a coworker told her her car was smoking, after which, she exited the building and observed flames coming from her vehicle.

Due to the vehicle being on county property, Niagara County Fire Investigations Origin and Cause was dispatched to investigate.
