A Strauss Road woman told the Niagara County Sheriff's Office that someone smashed the window of her brother's car and ripped the CD player out of his center console.
The woman told patrol that sometime between 6 p.m. Tuesday and 10 o'clock this morning, the windshield was smashed with a rock and the CD player was removed and placed on the driver's seat. The contents of the glove compartment were scattered on the ground outside the vehicle.
The woman says she does not believe anything to be missing but was not sure. The owner of the car was not present at the scene and patrol attempted to contact him with negative results. The complainant states she believes it to be neighborhood children that occasionally cut through the lot but does not know who they are.
Case closed pending further information.
