A 52-year-old Newfane woman and a 23-year-old Alden woman were both taken to the hospital following an early-morning car accident in the Town of Lockport.
According to a report by New York State Police, Joanna L. Felvus of Newfane was southbound on South Transit Road in a PT Cruiser when she struck a 2012 Ford Focus head on at the intersection of Robinson Road at approximately 7:25 a.m.
The Ford was being driven by Alyssa M. Eggert of Alden, who police say was stopped on South Transit Road northbound, waiting to make a left turn onto Robinson Road.
Felvus was transported by Rural Metro Ambulance to Millard Fillmore Suburban with non-life threatening injuries. Eggert was also taken to Millard Fillmore Suburban by a private vehicle.

The accident remains under investigation.
