Sabres' goalie Jhonas Enroth let in 1 in 8 shots as the Nashville Predators downed the Sabres 4-1.
The Sabres got on the board first with a power play goal by Drew Stafford 2:09 into the first period. Then the Predators scored. And they scored again. And again. And again.
Nick Spaling notched the first Nashville goal on the power play at 17:10 of the first. Shea Weber tallied the second Nashville goal 2:33 into the second period and Craig Smith added the third goal 5 minutes and 18 seconds later. Paul Gaustad scored an empty netter for the Predators fourth and final goal against his old team with a minute and 31 seconds to go in the game.
The Sabres next outing is a road game Thursday against the Carolina Hurricanes.
With the loss, the Sabres are 19-38-8 on the season, firmly in the basement of the NHL standings.
