The would-be organizers for a summer concert series in downtown Lockport in 2014 is postponing his plans for a year.

A statement on what was to be the 2014 concert series Facebook page said, "Well it is official, but taking a hiatus will give us the chance to get more input, more sponsor dollars and hopefully a renewed appreciation for the series."
Thom Jennings said he wasn't able to line up the level of sponsorship to hold concerts this year after city officials declined to pick up the stage rental fees for 2014. Jennings had hoped to secure the same level of sponsorship as the concert had in the past and potentially charge a small admission fee for the shows.

Former promoter and organizer Kathy Paradowski backed out of the series following the 2013 season, which was plagued by bad weather. City officials backed out, too, citing a budget crunch.

Jennings had been working to procure sponsors but said that time was running short to be able to do a 2014 series justice. He said rather than have the series die, he'd rather put it on hold.
