The National Weather Service has downgraded the blizzard warning, which was to go until 2 a.m., to a winter weather advisory, now active through 8 a.m.
More snow and blowing snow is expected with accumulation of 1 to 3 inches overnight and another inch on Thursday. Visibility may be as low as half a mile at times.
A winter weather advisory is normally issued for a variety of winter weather conditions such as light snow, blowing snow, sleet, freezing rain and wind chills. While the weather will be significant, the word "advisory" implies that severe winter weather is not expected.
