Niagara County Sheriff's deputies arrested two men for having suspected marijuana in Newfane within an hour of each other on Monday.

First, at 4:33 p.m., patrol observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the parking lot of Bill's Diner, 2763 South Main Street. Patrol interviewed the operator of the vehicle, Todd M. Camarra, 37, of 7284 Tonawanda Creek Road, Lockport, and observed a glass marijuana pipe inside the cup holder, in the middle console of the vehicle. Camarra handed patrol the glass pipe and also a small glass container with a small amount of a green leafy vegetable substance inside it, which Camarra admitted to be marijuana, according to the report.

The vehicle was left secured in the parking lot of Bill's Diner. The glass marihuana pipe was properly disposed of. The suspected marihuana was secured into evidence. Camarra was charge with of second-degree aggravated unlicensed operating, unlawful possession of marijuana and operating a motor vehicle by an unlicensed d
river.

The second incident, which occurred at 5:35 p.m., was the result of a traffic stop on Lockport-Olcott Road. While interviewing the driver, Thomas F. Lodwick III, 20, 2745 West Avenue, Newfane, deputies could smell a strong odor of marihuana emanating from inside the vehicle.

Lodwick initially denied being in possession of marijuana, but then handed patrol a clear plastic bag consisting of a green leafy vegetable substance which he told patrol was "about 10 grams of weed."

He was issued an appearance ticket for unlawful possession of marijuana, which was secured in the evidence locker.
