It is expected to reach a high of 47 today and stay that warm overnight before climbing to 51 on Friday with rain a certainty for both days.
"The combination of rain and temperatures that are forecast to climb near 50 degrees should result in considerable runoff from snow melt with significant rises on area waterways," according to the National Weather Service. "Rain falling on frozen ground may also cause flooding of streets and area of poor drainage."
After Friday's high it will drop back down closer to normal seasonal temperatures with an overnight low of 32 a chance of snow. Saturday offers a 38-degree high with more rain or snow expected and an overnight low of 21.
Sunday forecasts a partly sunny 29-degree high and a 13-degree low. Monday's high will 18 with a low of 13, followed by 20 and 11 degrees for Tuesday's high and low.
