The good news is that it's going to warm up. The bad news is that it's going to be really cold until it does.
The National Weather Service still has a wind chill warning in effect until 5 a.m. Saturday with overnight lows dipping below zero - before the wind chill is factored in. With the wind chill, it's expected to feel like -15 degrees.
"If you will be outdoors, use common sense and dress warmly, making sure that all exposed skin is covered," the weather service alert states. "If possible, avoid prolonged exposure to the cold to prevent frostbite and hypothermia."
After the cold spell, it will warm up to about 34 degrees on Saturday before falling back into the mid-20s. Sunday will once again offer highs in the 30s and a low in the teens. Monday the mercury drops again with a high of 20 and a forecast low of -2 degrees.
