Christina A. Burnett |
According to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, Christina A. Burnett, 32, of Rand Street in Rochester, was "out for a drive" around 7 a.m. when she lost control of the black Cadillac she was driving due to icy road conditions and slid into the ditch. A male passenger said they were looking at houses for sale.
A check of the vehicle and driver found that the registration was outdated, the plates were from another car, Burnett had no insurance and her drivers license was suspended.
She was arrested and charged with 3rd-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, driving without insurance, improper plates and suspended registration. She was taken to Niagara County Jail with bail of $100. She is set to go to Newfane Town Court on Jan 28.
The vehicle was winched out and towed with a hold for proper registration. The plates were retained by NCSO.
