Niagara County Sheriff's deputies are on the lookout for a man and a woman who they say invaded a Newfane home and demanded money from the homeowners.
According to the Sheriff's Office report, a male of approximately 24 or 25 years old, 5-foot-6-inches high and weighing approximately 200 pounds, pointed a handgun at a McClew Road couple and demanded the female get the money from her purse. The suspect had dark color eyes and was wearing a tan bandana covering his face, tan button down dress coat, winter hat, tan dress gloves, dark pants, and unknown foot wear.
The male had an accomplice who the homeowners say looked to be a female of approximately 19 or 20 years old, 5-foot-8-inches and thin. The homeowners said they believed the second assailant was female, but they were not 100 percent positive. She was wearing a dark color coat, with a brownish hand towel covering her face, winter hat and dark pants, unknown foot wear.
The report says that the male homeowner was watching television at about 10 p.m. Friday when he heard someone yelling at his wife in the living room. When he went in to check it out, the gunman forced him to sit on the couch while he attempted to extract money from the female homeowner.
The male homeowner stood up from the couch after his wife said "get them," and the assailants fled the scene. They did not take anything from the house.
