The first of four showings of the Wizard of Claus at the Palace Theatre is at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
The original musical is the creation of Jason Bravo, Justin Karcher, and Adam Kreutinger.
It is a "creative tour-de-force featuring original music, innovative puppetry and new characters," according to the Palace website. It "harnesses the positivity of Buffalo (particularly snow pride) and uses it as a thematic force."
The show follows a little girl named Sally on an adventure through the winter wonderland being destroyed by Krampus and her snow-mite minions. Similar to it's Oz counterpart, Sally meets three "fantastical characters" in the snowman, the candy cane and a scaredy cat reindeer.
The quartet set out to stop Krampus and save the land of Claus!
The show will also be performed Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m., as well as Sunday at 3 p.m.
Tickets are $12 and $15 and are available at the Palace box office as well as Mills Jewelers.
