A Town of Lockport resident told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies late Monday night that someone stole a 4-foot tall snowman decoration from the front lawn of her Royal Parkway North home.
The complainant also reported that someone had stolen a different snowman on Nov. 29, but that decoration was found across the street in the bushes.
Patrol checked the area and found the snowman down the street. It "appeared to have blown into the lawn by the wind."
Patrol brought the snowman back its home and told the complainant that wind may be the culprit.
