A pond hockey tournament is planned for Jan. 24 and 25 on Transit Road in Pendleton.
The "First Annual" Pond Hockey Tournament will be held at The Dugout (formerly Jimmy B's), 6856 South Transit Road.
It is expected that 24 three-person teams will participate in the event. Registration is still ongoing.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Salvation Army, Niagara Hospice, the SPCA of Niagara and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Those who attend are also asked to bring a jar of peanut butter or jelly for the PB&J Drive.
Organizers are currently looking for donations for a basket raffle planned for the first day of the event.
