A citizen of Mexico, illegally in the United States, was arrested Friday afternoon and charged with the Nov. 11 robbery of Newfane Pharmacy, according to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office.

Martin H. Reyes, 23, of Van Buren Street in Olcott was charged with third-degree robbery and petit larceny. He is being held at the Niagara County Jail on $20,000 bail and is set to return to Newfane Town Court at 4 p.m. on Tuesday.

According to the Sheriff's department report, on Nov. 11, Reyes attempted to rob the Newfane Pharmacy, demanding Opana and saying he had a bomb. He fled the store and a town-wide manhunt was started. He was found due to an investigation by the NCSO, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and U.S. Border Patrol.
