Teens charged in Newfane spray paint case

NEWFANE — The Niagara County Sheriff's Office has arrested three juvenile suspects following an investigation into multiple instances of vandalism in the Newfane area in June.

Sheriff Jim Voutour announced the arrests via press release this afternoon. According to the press release, an investigation conducted by the Niagara County Sheriff's Office Criminal Bureau revealed that the three juveniles spray painted several homes, vehicles and sheds in the Newfane area in June of this year.

A total of 45 charges have been filed in this case. Each of the three juveniles were charged with three counts of second-degree criminal mischief, three counts of third-degree criminal mischief, and nine counts each of fourth-degree criminal mischief.

All three juveniles are scheduled to appear in Niagara County Family Court at a later date. Their names were not released.
