Today's forecast from the National Weather Service calls for rain and possible flooding in flood-prone areas with a high near 60. Tonight calls for rain and possibly a thunderstorm with a low around 56.
Sunday, rain is likely with a high near 63 and a low of around 52. Monday will be mostly sunny with a high near 74 and a low around 56. Tuesday offers sun with a high near 77 and a low around 56.
Wednesday will be sunny with a high near 79 and a low around 60. Thursday will also be sunny with a high back up to 80 and a low of around 62. Friday, there's a chance of showers with a high near 79.

The Lockport Community Market will feature Joe Webber performing from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Canal Street gazebo.
Webber's solo act incorporates mandolin, piano, and guitar with vocals. He plays a wide variety of music - R&B, Blues, Rock, etc., and has been featured at the Giacomo, Bella Vista in the Four Points Sheraton, Water Street Landing, The Byblos, Root Five, Muscoreil's, Brickhouse Tavern, Savoy, Hops n’ Vines, and many others.
Local musician Jeff Krull will also play the Canal Street Gazebo from 1 to 2 p.m.
The Lockport Community Market will run each Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. through Oct. 3 on Historic Canal Street in downtown Lockport. This family-friendly, open-air market features live entertainment, activities and demonstrations, and a multitude of vendors each week offering fresh produce, meat, baked goods, local wine, jewelry, unique gifts, and much more.

The Lockport Family YMCA and the Buffalo Bills will host a local competition for NFL Punt, Pass & Kick
at 10 a.m. Saturday at Altro Park.
The competition is open to boys and girls ages 6 to 15 and is free. Contestants may register in person at the YMCA, onlinie at www.nflppk.com, or on the day of the event beginning at 9 a.m. Contestants will then be allowed to practice until 10 a.m.
The program emphasizes the importance of daily activity, and the NFL PLAY 60- philosophy matches the YMCA’s emphasis on Youth Development & Healthy Living.

Festivals are all around Western New York this weekend with the Peach Festival in Lewison, Music is Art in Buffalo and East Niagara's newest contribution to the festival scene — Fallfest.
Fallfest will take place from 12:30 - 9 p.m. Saturday at Calhouns Pub in Newfane. It promises family fun activities like face painting, sand castle building, three-legged races, KanJam, ladder golf, giant Jenga, corn hole and more; live music from Tom Keefer and the Celtic Cross, Tim Britt, Road to Recovery, and Off the Cuff; and vendors like Barker Brewing, Donna Eick, Woodcock Brothers Brewing Company, the Winery at Marjim Manor and more.
There is no admission to the all-day festival.

Lockside Art Center will open two exhibitions from 2 - 4 p.m. Saturday. The exhibits will both continue through Oct. 10.
The Monochrome Exhibition includes drawings, paintings, photographs, and sculpture by 12 Western New York artists. Unique in this exhibit is that the artwork is limited to black, white, and grays and one additional color.
The Sculpture Exhibition features several large welded steel sculptures by well-known Grand Island artist and art teacher Mark Tollner.
Lockside Art Center offers a display gallery, studios, art research library, and a classroom. The center, located at 12 Main Street, Suite 208, is open from noon to 4 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, as well as by appointment.

Lockside Art Center is looking for art submissions for its upcoming Monochrome Exhibition, opening Sept. 12.
The “monochrome” description refers to one color, adjusted by value (light to dark), for example reds, ranging from white, pink, red hues, black. Color is an option, all grayscale is welcome.
The center welcome most media (drawings, paintings, photography, computer generated images, fabric art, sculpture, etc.); Those who wish to submit other types of media, are asked to discuss it with the center prior to submission.
The artist exhibition fee for two pieces is $15 for members of LAC, $25 for nonmembers. Artists may submit more than two pieces according to that fee schedule. Art sold at the exhibition will be so marked, and will remain in the exhibition until it closes.
