HAMILTON -- A pair of East Niagara students have earned the Dean's Award for academic excellence. This recognition is awarded to students with a 3.30 or higher term average.
Awardees include:

HAMILTON — Anna Auernhamer, a Spanish and Biology major from Newfane is a member of the Colgate University Class of 2015, the university announced.
Auernhamer is one of 732 students to graduate from Colgate during the university's 194th commencement.
Eddie S. Glaude Jr., the William S. Tod Professor of Religion and African American studies and the chair of the Center for African American Studies at Princeton University, delivered the keynote address.
Colgate University is a highly selective residential liberal arts institution that offers 54 majors to a diverse student body of approximately 2,900 undergraduate students, and supports 25 Division I athletic teams. The university's 575-acre campus in rural central New York is renowned for its beauty and for the important role it plays in the student experience.

The Dean's Award is given to students with a 3.30 or higher grade-point average average while enrolled in 3.75 or more course hours.
