The Committee to Elect Sue Mawhiney is hosting a spaghetti and meatball dinner fundraiser Monday at the Masonic Temple, 1 Cottage St.
The $30-per-person dinner runs from 6-8 p.m. There will be a basket raffle, 50/50 split, and door prizes.
The city treasurer candidate, Mawhiney, will discuss her reason for running, her experience in the financial industry, and her plans to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the position.
“I believe most strongly in transparency and accountability," Mawhiney said. "We need an independent, objective and properly trained individual that will provide the public with the information they not only require, but are entitled to, as it pertains to the finances of the City of Lockport. I pledge to be a dedicated servant of the people and I will be accountable to the public and bring back the trust to the Lockport city treasurer’s office.”
