CAMBRIA — The Wednesday afternoon crash on Saunders Settlement Road took the life of a 25-year-old Pendleton man.
According to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, Scott L. Garrett died as the result of injuries sustained in the crash when his car struck a tractor-trailer on Route 31. Garrett was unresponsive when Sheriff's deputies arrived on scene and was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
The driver of the tractor-trailer, 67-year-old Jerome W. Brown of the Town of Lockport was transported to ECMC for non-life-threatening injuries.
The initial investigation revealed that Brown was eastbound on Saunders Settlement Road, when the Garrett's car crossed into the eastbound lane causing a collision. The investigation is continuing by the Niagara County Sheriff's Office Accident Investigation Unit.
