Born on October 3, 1935 in Buffalo, NY, he was the son of Daniel and Eleanor Kopec Austin. Daniel served in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force from 1953 until 1977. He was a retired Claim Adjuster for Allstate Insurance, an animal activist and great supporter of P.E.T.A and the National Wildlife Federation.
Predeceased by his sister, Shirley E. Lorish, Daniel is survived by three nieces, Sharon Sanmarco, Deborah (George) Weber and Lynn (Ron) Shadden and many great nieces and nephews.
