OLCOTT — A stone wall damaged at Olcott Beach when a Town of Newfane vehicle collided with it will be repaired soon.
Newfane Town Supervisor Tim Horanburg said when the accident originally happened on June 18, he "thought it would be a quick fix, but it's not."
Bids to repair the wall came in ranging from $1,500 to $10,000. The town went with the lowest bid, offered by Custom Masonry of Lockport. Town workers will help to reassemble the stone wall.
"It will kind of be like a little puzzle," Horanburg said.
"I'm hoping soon," he said. "But I'm kind of dependent on these guys. They said they'd call when they have a few days."
