TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A 19-year-old Beattie Avenue woman stands accused of stealing $73.16 worth of clothes and haircare products from Walmart on South Transit Road.

Alicia N. Smith, 269 Beattie Ave., Apt. 2, was seen placing six articles of clothing and two packages of hair dye in her purse at the store around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, according to Walmart employees. Smith then allegedly tried to leave the store through the automotive section when she was stopped.

Smith was charged with petit larceny and released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Lockport Court on Wednesday.
