Lockport man arrested for burglary

New York State Police arrested a 34-year-old Lockport man on Friday and charged him with numerous crimes, including second-degree burglary, one charge each of first-degree and second-degree criminal contempt, and third-degree criminal mischief.

According to the police report, Marcus A. Walton of Lincoln Place illegally entered a complainant's home, damaging some of their personal property.

Walton was arraigned before Town of Lockport Justice Leonard Tilney and remanded to the Niagara County Jail on $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to re-appear on Thursday.
