Several news agencies in the U.S. and Canada have reported that a mild earthquake occurred at 11:57 p.m. in the middle of Lake Ontario, about 25 miles north of Barker,
according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The quake measured 2.9 on the
Richter Scale, the science organization said.
