Fire guts Hawley Street store

LPD investigators talk to witnesses following the fire. 
A fire this morning ripped through a Hawley Street convenience store, badly damaging the community store.

Lockport firefighters were called to Convenient One Stop at 322 Hawley St. for a structure fire at 8:42 a.m. South Lockport Fire Co. was shortly thereafter called to assist.

The fire was subdued around 10:30 p.m., but not before inflicting heavy damage.

We'll have more details when we get them.

  2. Thank you fire fighters and police officers for making sure everyone was out and safe.And thank you for calling the red cross.Most of the family's from these 4 apartments are together until Monday. Its sad they lost everything they own But awesome no one lost a life.
