Three East Niagara healthcare facilities are among the latest to join HEALTHeLINK, Western New York's clinical information exchange.

Amandeep Pal, MD in Lockport, Middleport Family Health Center and the Niagara County Department of Health recently joined the network, as did Axon Neurology and Daniel A. Burns, MD in Niagara Falls, Mount St. Mary’s Neurology & Stroke, Niagara Falls Urgent Care, Northgate Health Care Facility in North Tonawanda, Summit Park Pharmacy in Niagara Falls, Venture Forthe, Inc. in Niagara Falls and Wurlitzer Family Pharmacy in North Tonawanda.

Currently more than 4,000 physicians, all of the area hospitals and many independent laboratory and radiology practices are connected to HEALTHeLINK with a goal of improving the quality of care, enhancing patient safety and reducing health care costs.

With patient consent, participating physicians can securely and electronically access clinical information on the patients they are treating at the point of care. Approximately 810,000 Western New Yorkers have signed a consent form to provide treating medical professionals with this access through HEALTHeLINK.
