PITTSBURGH -- Zach Bogosian scored a pair for the Buffalo Sabres Sunday afternoon in a 4-3 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Bogosian's power play goal at 13:48 of the first period put Buffalo on the board. Mark Pysyk and Brian Gionta assisted. His goal with 22 seconds remaining in regulation brought the Sabres to within one, but the team couldn't tie the game in the dying seconds. Bogosian also assisted on the team's other goal, a power play goal by Gionta at 8:05 of the third period.

Pittsburgh had goals by Patric Hornqvist, Scott Wilson, Phil Kessel, and Matt Cullen.

Buffalo next plays Wednesday against the Anaheim Ducks, the team's first of a three-game west-coast trip.
