WILSON -- A 20-year-old Newfane man was charged New Year's Day with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of marijuana following a traffic stop on Route 18.
According to New York State Police, when they pulled Bradley R. Berner for "repeatedly crossing the center line," they smelled marijuana. Further investigation revealed two grams of pot in a clear plastic bag, as well as a "Kung Fu Star in a black sheath (and) two black steel Batarang Throwing Weapons."
Berner was given appearance tickets and a traffic ticket to the Town of Wilson Court on Jan. 28.
