TOWN OF LOCKPORT -- Transit Drive-In owner Rick Cohen has a difficult decision on his hands.
Cohen needs to decide whether to show the new Star Wars movie at the drive-in. While that may sound like a no-brainer, like so many things in life, it's complicated.
Cohen explained on the drive-in's Facebook page that in order to show the movie, he has to commit to running it for four weeks. With the movie opening on Dec. 17, that means keeping the drive-in open until Jan. 9, which he calls "unprecedented."
On the plus side, "weather forecasters are anticipating a mild December, which is exactly what we've all been hoping for," Cohen said.
He's reaching out to drive-in customers to gauge public opinion on the matter.
"We'd like to find out how many people are excited for us to stay open for Star Wars. ... Please let us know if you'd be interested in experiencing the new Star Wars under the stars by sharing, commenting, and liking this post. (link) Thank you!"
