John Lang
New York State Police are asking for the public's assistance in locating an 85-year-old Williamsville man who went missing Wednesday afternoon.

According to police, John Lane has Alzheimer's disease and may be in need of medical attention. He was last seen at the Country Club of Buffalo on North Youngs Road in Williamsville at 2 p.m. Wednesday. He was driving a 2012 gray Toyota Camry. The 6-foot tall male is approximately 140 pounds and has gray hair. He was last seen wearing a blue blazer, blue overcoat and gray pants.

An alert went out to Allegany, Cattaraugus, Cayuga, Chautauqua, Chenango, Cortland, Erie, Genesee, Hamilton, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Livingston, Madison, Monroe, Niagara, Oneida, Onondaga, Ontario, Orleans, Oswego, Otsego, Seneca, Steuben, Tompkins, Wayne, Wyoming, and Yates counties.

UPDATE: John Lane has been found safe in the Town of Wolcott by New York State Police.
