ENP STAFF REPORTS
news@eastniagarapost.com
DALLAS -- The Buffalo Sabres got only 22 shots on goal tonight against the Dallas Stars. Worse than than, none of them went in.
Going into the third period, the Stars 1-0 lead didn't look insurmountable, but a pair of goals by Jamie Benn in under two minutes put the game out of reach for the 8-10-2 Sabres who have now lost four straight games.
Antoine Roussel scored first for Dallas at 6:22 of the first period. John Klingberg and Cody Eakin tallied assists on the goal.
Benn's third period goals came at 7:11 (a power play goal assisted by Jason Spezza and Tyler Seguin) and 9:04 (assisted by Sequin and Patrick Sharp).
The Sabres next game is Monday when the St. Louis Blues come to Buffalo.
