ENP STAFF REPORTS

TOWN OF LOCKPORT -- A man who went to the Niagara County Jail Monday to bail out his son had his phone stolen in the process.
According to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, the man said that he had left his phone in the waiting room when he was called to bail out his son and upon returning to the waiting area, the phone was gone.
According to jail officials, there are not cameras pointed where the man was sitting, but he had been sitting next to someone, whose name they were able to ascertain because that man had requested paperwork from the jail and gave his name when he did so.
The Criminal Investigation Bureau is now looking for the other party.
