ENP STAFF REPORTS
news@eastniagarapost.com
Fresh off the opening of her latest show Nature’s Strokes II, local artist Dody Walter will hold a meet-and-greet and sign her 2016 Wall Calendar from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Dec. 5 at Ticklebridge in the Bewley Building.
This is the first year Walter is releasing a calendar, which includes a bonus month -- Dec. 2015 -- so people can begin using it immediately. Including the front cover it features 14 paintings by the artist. A portion of the $20 purchase price will be donated to breast cancer research in honor of the artist's friends who have battled the disease.
The calendar is available for purchase at Ticklebridge and The Niagara County History Center, 215 Niagara Street, both in Lockport. It is also available online at NiagaraArtTrail.com. In addition to the calendar, original paintings and prints by Walter can be purchased at Ticklebridge as well.
The calendar is presented by the Niagara Art Trail, which is also sponsoring Walter's watercolor and acrylic exhibit Middleport's Lamp Lighter Gallery through Dec. 19. The Lamplighter's hours are Thursday evenings from 6 -8 p.m. or by appointment by calling 957-7778. There is no charge for admission.
East Niagara Post is the official media sponsor of Hockey Day in Lockport.
