GASPORT -- A 59-year-old Gasport man was charged Wednesday with falsely reporting a crime.
According to New York State Police, Donald H. Puchala was charged with third-degree falsely reporting an incident after he reported being robbed by a black male with a knife at Crosby’s Convenience Store on Rochester Road.
Puchala was arrested after surveillance video showed no signs of a crime.
He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Royalton Court on Thursday.
