ENP STAFF REPORTS

TOWN OF LOCKPORT - Twenty-two cars showed up Thursday night to watch the Buffalo Bills take on the New York Jets at the Transit Drive-In Theatre.
Theater owner Rick Cohen had offered up "the big screen" as a place for patrons to watch the game, while also offering to donate their entrance "fee" -- Cohen suggested a $20 donation per car. In all, $440 will be donated to the Brian Moorman PUNT Foundation and $100 to the Buffalo City Mission.
Cohen had hoped for a larger turnout, but the threat of 60 mph wind gusts undoubtedly kept many home. He called it "understandable under these weather conditions."
The drive-in absorbed the operating expenses for the night: payroll and licensing fees for the movie Rudy, which was shown prior to the start of the Bills game.
The Bills won the game, beating the Jets 22-17 in New York.
