ENP STAFF REPORTS

The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Warning from 10 a.m. Thursday to 1 p.m. Friday throughout Niagara, Orleans, Monroe, Wyoming and Chautauqua counties.
The weather service says that from late Thursday morning through Friday afternoon, affected areas can expect winds from the southwest at 25 to 35 mph with gusts of up to 60 mph.
Those strong winds could make for dangerous travel for high profile vehicles and could down trees and power lines resulting in outages.
A High Wind Warning is issued when sustained winds of 40 mph are expected for at least an hour and gusts of 58 mph are expected to accompany them.
