ENP STAFF REPORTS

TOWN OF LOCKPORT -- A 49-year-old Alden man was charged Wednesday with driving with a fake or forged inspection sticker on Beattie Avenue.
According to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, Christopher P. Ziolkowski, 11630 Genesee St., Alden was stopped by patrol around 9:44 a.m. after a DMV check showed the registration on the vehicle he was driving to be expired.
When patrol interviewed Ziolowski, they found that the inspection sticker in his window was also expired -- and belonged in another vehicle owned by another person.
Ziolowski was charged with displaying a forged/fictitious NYS inspection certificate and he was released on appearance ticket. He was also issued tickets for driving without a valid inspection sticker and driving an unregistered motor vehicle.
He is due in Town of Lockport Court on Dec. 3.
