UPDATE: The missing vulnerable adult alert for Barbara McCarthy was canceled by the Buffalo Police Department at 2:45 p.m.
BUFFALO — Local police agencies are seeking the public's help in finding a 74-year-old Buffalo woman who has been reported missing.
According to an alert issued by New York State Department of Criminal Justice, Barbara McCarthy was reported around 1:31 this afternoon. She was last seen at her home on Starin Avenue, in Buffalo around 10 a.m. She is believed to be on foot and has been previously located in Niagara Falls.
The woman is described as five-foot, three-inches tall, 115 pounds with gray hair and blue eyes. She has dementia and may be in need of medical assistance, police say.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call the Buffalo Police Department at 853-2222.
