ENP STAFF REPORTS
news@eastniagarapost.com

Lockport Mayor Anne McCaffrey and mayoral candidate Roger Sherrie will be the inaugural guests for a new radio program debuting tonight on East Niagara Radio.

"On the Record" will feature a question-and-answer style show with East Niagara Post News Editor Scott Leffler and the day's newsmakers. The show will broadcast each Tuesday at 7 p.m. on East Niagara Radio, a division of East Niagara Post.

Leffler, formerly a talk show host and production director for WLVL AM 1340 in Lockport, promises the show to be "engaging but not bombastic." Rather than a talk show, he is referring to it as an "interview show."

Future episodes may take questions from the public, but for tonight's episode, all the questions will come from Leffler himself.

To listen, simply visit EastNiagaraRadio.com and click the microphone image (or the one above) or link below it. Alternately, listeners can tune in via the Live365 or TuneIn Radio apps on their smartphones, tablets or other entertainment devices.

Future guests for the program include Lockport Treasurer Mike White and his challenger in November, Sue Mawhiney. Other political candidates are expected leading up to the November election, as well. Following election season, the show will feature interviews with whoever — and whatever — happens to be in the news at the time.

East Niagara Radio is a 24-7 audio stream featuring "office-friendly" alternative music, afternoon news and weather updates from East Niagara Post, and live event coverage, including Lockport Express home games.

"On the Record" will also be made available for listening later via podcast and linked from EastNiagaraPost.com.

Sponsorships are available for the show for local businesses and events. To inquire about sponsorships, email advertising@eastniagarapost.com.
