An NCSO cruiser was heavily damaged in a crash Thursday night. The driver
of the other vehicle was killed as a result of the collision. NCSO is looking for

CAMBRIA -- The Niagara County Sheriff's Office is looking for a potential witness to the fatal crash that occurred at the intersection of Ridge and Plank roads shortly after 7 p.m. Thursday.

A Niagara County Sheriff's deputy collided with an SUV, which rolled over. The driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at Eastern Niagara Hospital-Lockport, while the deputy and a passenger in the SUV were taken to Erie County Medical Center via Mercy Flight.

The accident is currently under investigation by the Sheriff's Office Accident Investigation Unit with assistance from the Criminal Investigation Bureau. The Sheriff's Office is looking for a vehicle that was in the area of Route 425 on Route 93 around 7 p.m that yielded to a patrol car with the emergency lights activated as a possible witness in the accident investigation.

Anyone with information regarding this vehicle is asked to make contact with the Sheriff's Office at 438-3327.
